(Checks or money orders should be made payable to City of Peculiar. Cash payments will not be accepted via mail.)
Requests will be processed in the order in which they are received. The request for records will be acted upon no later than the third business day following receipt of the request. Please allow up to 10 business days for your request to be processed. Some records may take longer than others to process; for example, archived reports (reports that are older than 5 years), active investigations (the initial incident report may be the only portion released in response to requests on active cases), or complicated cases that require legal review before release. Certain identification information will be removed, and investigative reports will not be released until such time as the case becomes an open record under Missouri Sunshine Law.
DRIVER LICENSE RECORDS
The Peculiar Police Department cannot provide driving records. You may contact any of the Department of Revenue’s licensed bureau offices to obtain your driving record. Offices in the area are located in Harrisonville, Belton, Grandview and Lee’s Summit, MO.
REQUESTS FROM CRIMINAL DEFENDANTS AND/OR THEIR ATTORNEYS MAY BE DIRECTED TO THE APPROPRIATE PROSECUTING ATTORNEY THROUGH THE DISCOVERY PROCESS.
